avast! also found embedded rubbish in rc2... (win32:trojan-gen in dude.exe)a pity as it looks an excellent gadget but because of that (and all the other confirming reports nod32, avg) it must get zero stars.... sorry have to be 1....hang on...just checked rc3 and seems clean but will keep an eye on it... these virus reports are too common throughout the history of this software... it will make 5 stars for sure if it stays clear of vir-signs...

nice free program that does the job for my needs. i like the fact that you can be completely explicit about which folders it should index. most of these types of programs seem to force you to index the start menu, which i don't want. i can search the start menu with vista by pressing one key. but with this you can make a folder of your custom shortcuts and have it search that folder only, which is exactly what i want.the "approximate search" mode also does a very good job of finding stuff even if you make a typo or type just a few random letters. plus it has a little list of a few lines showing the bes tmatches, so if you really screw up you can just hit down then enter to go to the second match or whatever. also you can completely turn off automatic indexing so it will only index on startup or when you right click and tell it to do has a bunch of stuff for website shortcuts and all that too which honestly i have no use for so i don't know how well all that works. but it is there.overall, pretty basic-looking (who cares if your launcher has a drop shadow really) but does everything i want and does it well. switched over to this from launchy a couple of years ago and haven't missed it, no real complaints.

@leejjcni agree drivermagician has other features. that is because it serves a different type of user. drivergrabber is meant to simplify the process of collecting the driver files so that they can be added to a windows install disk. it is meant as a one click quick and simple way for it techs to gather drivers.a later release will allow options to open a gui for other features simular to drivermagician... but that isn't the main purpose of drivergrabber.for users who want a gui interface i actually reccommend another utility called smartdriverbackup. which is not made by me.

aegis69, yes, flash 11.5.x was crashing here also on ff18. i downgraded to an older version of flash. was not impressed with version 18 of firefox either. went back to 17.0.1.

i agree it's a waste of both time and energy since you can go to the store and buy a calander.the other problem that i have with the mozilla project is in their addonn. these addons are most often unsigned which means the developer didn't want his/her name to appear when d/ling. this doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in what you are d/ling which is to bad because there is a lot of addons that i like but won't d/l because they are unsign.

not ready for prime time.produces a mapi2 error that is quite common if one googles - but the solution is anything but.take this crap back and test more thoroughly m$ - it's just more of the same we've come to expect from you of late.two stars.
